NGC 6888, the Crescent Nebula, is a rare nebula surrounding a massive Wolf-Rayet star.

This image was shot with a CCD camera with a 6 nanometer narrowband hydrogen-alpha filter.
Because it essentially records only one wavelength of light, it is a monochrome image.
This is a stack of 25 300-second exposures to equal a 125-minute exposure.
It was shot with a Stellarvue SVA130-T that I’m testing for Sky & Telescope magazine.
